The Blast Bay

A booth, a pot and the air to run them, by the half day or the day. Or leave the part with us and collect it clean.

The Room

Renting the Bay

The price covers the air, the pot, a supplied air hood, gloves, an apron, the dust collector and the sweep up after. The bay runs on garnet or crushed glass; other media from the media list by arrangement.

Come in closed shoes and long sleeves. On a first visit one of us shows you round, then stays close for the first hour.

Most work is ready within a week. Parts come back bare, so plan to prime them the same day; bare steel starts to rust overnight in a damp week.

What We Will Not Blast

  • Fuel tanks that have not been drained, cleaned and left open to air.
  • Anything with a coating that may contain asbestos.
  • Old paint that may contain lead, unless you tell us first so we can plan the clean up.
  • Glass you want to keep clear. Bring it for etching instead, with the pattern masked.
